Templates Guide


This page contains many of the most-used templates on the Lookout Wiki and explains to you how to use them and what they are for. The ones not included, well you can just ask about or you'll find out about.

Original Infobox[]

This is the classic Infobox, which you can use to create your own headings etc. It has basically been replaced by Character Infobox.

HOW TO EXAMPLE:

Within the template, you add more information. Can be customized if added in Visual Mode.

This is the most common used infobox for characters, supplying enough information slots.

HOW TO EXAMPLE:

Within the template, you add more information. Can be customized if added in Visual Mode.

Property template[]

These are to signify the reader that the article belongs to someone. This is the official wiki one, however, users can create their own unique property templates if they wish.

Role-Play template[]

They go on all Role-playing pages.

Fan-Fiction template[]

These go on all Fan-Fiction pages.

Main Warrior template[]

These go on all main user character pages, to make it official and solid it is a main character. If you change chars, change the template to the new one and remove from old page.

Signatures (or sigs)[]

The TalkTextReg or Sig template is used usually to comment on something, its a fun way to comment and usually the comment is made by a character that the user made. The sig is quite easy to use when you are going to comment (talk page etc.).

Headings[]

These are colorful versions of headings. They all function the same way.

A Heading Green

Small Headings[]

These are more smaller, thinner versions of Headings. Good for sub-headings and smaller sections.

Headline Area[]

This usually goes on very important pages (such as the main page). You can put words in them. They are no longer used much any more though.
